Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Sunday bid farewell to seventeen European Union diplomats at Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport, Katsina, as they departed for Abuja, after a packed Eid-el-Fitr and Durbar programme in the state.Before their departure,
Governor Radda hosted the diplomats at a strategic breakfast meeting that lasted over three hours.
During their stay, the diplomats witnessed the colourful Durbar, Hawan Sarki, and Hawan Magajiya celebrations across the Katsina and Daura Emirates, where royal horsemen rode in grand procession paying homage to the Emirs.
They also attended a Cultural Night featuring dambe, kokowa, algaita, and kakaki performances, toured the ancient Kusugu Well in Daura, and visited the Dumurkul Model Smart School.
The farewell was attended by the Deputy Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal; the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Garba Faskari; the Chief of Staff, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; and other members of the State Executive Council.
