Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Gombe State Correspondent of Daily Trust Newspaper, Haruna Gimba Yaya, over the demise of his mother, Hajiya Fatima Abubakar, popularly known as Umma Gambo.
A statement signed by Ismaila Uba Mislli DG Press affairs Gombe State Government house said Hajiya Fatima passed away on Monday morning at the age of 65 at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, where she had been receiving treatment.
In a condolence message, Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the death of a mother as a painful and irreplaceable loss, noting that mothers occupy a unique and cherished place in the lives of their children and families.
He said the late Hajiya Fatima would be remembered for the values she instilled in her children and for nurturing them into responsible members of society.
The Governor commiserated with Haruna Gimba Yaya, his siblings and the entire members of the bereaved family, praying Almighty Allah to give them the fortitude to bear the painful loss and grant the deceased Aljannat Firdaus.
The late Hajiya Fatima Abubakar is survived by nine children, among whom are Haruna Gimba Yaya, Gombe State Correspondent of Daily Trust Newspaper and Maimuna Muhammad Gimba, a lecturer with the Gombe State College for Education and Legal Studies, Nafada.
She has since been buried following funeral prayers ( Janazah) conducted in accordance with Islamic rites.
