Governor , Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON , Fnipr , ( Kauran Daular Usmaniyya ) of Bauchi State, , has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Bauchi State, across Nigeria, and around the world on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
In a goodwill message marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, the Governor expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah (SWT) for granting the faithful the strength, patience, and spiritual devotion required to fulfill the sacred obligation of fasting.
Governor Mohammed described Eid-el-Fitr as more than a festive occasion, emphasizing its significance as a period of reflection, renewal, and recommitment to the core values of Islam.
In a statement signed by Mukhtar Gidado Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Governor said Governor Bala Mohammad also urged citizens to uphold and sustain the virtues cultivated during Ramadan, including compassion, humility, generosity, discipline, and kindness toward all.“True success lies not only in observing Ramadan but in embodying its teachings throughout the year,” the Governor stated, encouraging continued support for the less privileged and vulnerable members of society. He called on citizens to emulate the exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), whose life remains a model of mercy, justice, and humility.
The Governor also commended religious leaders, scholars, and Imams for their dedication throughout Ramadan, noting their critical role in promoting moral values, unity, and peaceful coexistence.
He urged them to sustain their efforts in guiding society toward righteousness and harmony.Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to unity, Governor Mohammed highlighted Bauchi State’s longstanding tradition of peaceful coexistence among diverse ethnic and religious groups.
He called on residents to continue fostering tolerance, mutual respect, and collective responsibility in building a cohesive society.
Addressing security concerns, the Governor urged citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and useful information.
He assured the public of government’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property, stressing that security remains a shared responsibility.Reflecting on his administration’s journey as it approaches the end of its second and final term, Governor Mohammed expressed deep appreciation to the people of Bauchi State for their trust, cooperation, and support.
He reaffirmed his resolve to consolidate achievements and deliver more dividends of democracy, with a focus on sustainable development, institutional strengthening, and improved welfare.
Acknowledging prevailing economic challenges, the Governor assured citizens of ongoing efforts to ease hardships through targeted interventions, social protection programs, and investments in critical sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, and human capital development.
He expressed optimism that the resilience and faith of the people would see them through current challenges, urging all to embrace hope and gratitude during the Eid celebrations
Governor Mohammed concluded with prayers for Allah’s acceptance of acts of worship, forgiveness of shortcomings, and the opportunity to witness many more Eid celebrations in peace, good health, and prosperity.
He wished all citizens a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr and prayed for continued blessings upon Bauchi State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
