Gov. Buni Congratulates Prof. Halima Idris Gambo

The  Executive Governor of Yobe State Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN has congratulated Dr. Halima Idris Gambo, on her well deserved promotion as a Professor of Veterinary Medicine (Pathology) by the University of Maiduguri.

Governor Buni noted that the emergence of Prof. Halima, as the first female Professor of Pathology in Nigeria is a great achievement that is worthy of celebration by the government and people of the state.

“A distinguished scholar, teacher and researcher has indeed, accomplished her career in her chosen profession.

A statement signed the DG Press and media affairs to the Governor Mal Mamman Mohammed said “The government and people of the state congratulate Prof. Halima for achieving this great feat”  .

The Governor prayed for her “We pray to almighty Allah to make this promotion beneficial to her humble self, her family, Yobe State and Nigeria”. 

Prof. Halima, currently holds the position of Chairperson of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA), Borno state.

She is the Deputy Director, University of Maiduguri Business School (UMBS) and the Vice President of the Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN).
