The 24th Comptroller of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Gombe State Command who earlier assumed duty has paid familiarization visit to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.
A statement signed by Joshua Danmalam information officer Gombe State SSG office said the Comptroller Hassan Aliyu Mohammed while speaking informed the chief scribe that his command is committed to rendering the best service to State /nation within their area of jurisdiction with outmost professionalism.
While appreciating the support to the command by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s administration the Comptroller appealed for continued support to the command and other sister security agencies especially with logistics to perform optimally for the peace and progress of the state and nation.He further noted his readiness for synergy with State and other agencies at all times.
Welcoming the new Comptroller on behalf of the government and people of Gombe State,the SSG Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi appreciated the role and contribution of the Nigerian Immigration Services especially in checking unauthorized immigrants, issuance of passport and maintenance of peace and order.
He said the service in Gombe is doing well and call on the new helmsman to do even better.
Prof Njodi assured him of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya administration’s continued support to the service and other security agencies and directed him to write through his office some of the immediate logistics needs for consideration within the limited resources of Government.
The SSG told the immigration boss to always write through his office a monthly report so that government will be well informed about their activities for timely action where possible.
The state Comptroller was accompanied during the visit by some senior officers of the command while the Permanent Secretary Special Services and Political Salihu Adamu Sambo joins the SSG to receive them.
