Garin Galadima community of Akko LGA was attacked by some bandits on the 23rd day of January, 2026. Leading to the displacement of about 6,850 individuals which is about 1,141 households from Garin Galadima and neighbouring communities of Lumbo, Shulto and others communities.
The displaced people take refuge in several communities of the LGA including Pindiga, Tumu, Kashere, Kumbani Isa, Lawanti, Tundu and Tukulma communities.
The Bandits come in their numbers with different weapons, according to eye witnesses from the affected areas.
This necessitates the need to bring succor to the victims with a view to alleviating their suffering .
A statement signed by Suleiman Idris, information officer/ protocol officer of the state emergency board, said the Bandits have burned down several shops, food items and some domestic animals and also killed 3 people in the village.
During the joint assessment, some relief items such as beddings were distributed to the displaced persons.
