FUNTUA LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL INAUGURATES FIRST BATCH OF FIFTY (50) SPECIAL ADVISERS

He added that another batch of advisers will be inaugurated in December.

The Chairman expressed appreciation to the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, PhD, for the developmental projects currently ongoing in Funtua.

A statement signed by Bashir Yero information officer Funtua local government listed these projects to include the construction of dual carriage township roads, expansion of Makwalla Airport,the establishment of a skills acquisition centre, the establishment of Police Mobile Base and other important initiatives.

In his welcome address, the Secretary of Funtua Local Government, Alhaji Hassan Musa Anda, noted that all appointed advisers were nominated through consultations with key stakeholders.

He urged them to utilize their expertise to drive development in both Funtua Local Government and Katsina State at large.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi Rabo expressed gratitude to the Executive Chairman for the opportunity and assured that they are committed to contributing positively to the advancement of Funtua and Katsina State.

Similarly, in their goodwill messages, the Representative of the Sarkin Maskan Katsina and Hakimin Funtua, Alhaji Sambo Idris Sambo, alongside Alhaji Usman Musa Alaliya, thanked the Katsina State Governor for given approval to local government Chairmen the authority to appoint fifty advisers in all the 34 local Government ares.They noted that the initiative will bring government closer to the people.

During the inauguration, the new advisers received their employment letters as well as two months’ allowance, amounting to One Hundred Thousand Naira (₦100,000) each.
