The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Education, Zaria, Professor Yahaya Isa Bunkure, has approved the upgrade of the NCE Part-Time Programme to the Directorate of Part-Time Programme Admissions and Registration.
The restructuring positions the new directorate to oversee admissions and registration processes more centrally under a unified administrative framework.
Following this development, the Vice-Chancellor also approved the appointment of Dr. Abdurahman Mahmud of the Department of Biology as Director of the newly established Directorate of Part-Time Programme Admissions and Registration, with effect from 9th January, 2026.
His appointment places him at the helm of a redefined unit aimed at streamlining admission and registration processes for part-time students.
Similarly, Dr. Iliya Yakubu of the Department of Administration and Planning has been appointed as Deputy Director of the Directorate, with effect from 9th January, 2026. In this role, Dr. Yakubu will assist the Director
in implementing admissions and registration policies and coordinating processes across relevant departments.
