The First Lady of Zamfara State, Her Excellency, Huriyya Dauda Lawal has been conferred with the revered royal title of YAR GOJEN DANSADAU by His Royal Highness, the Sarkin Kudu Dansadau, Alhaji Garba Muhammad Sarkin Kudu Atu II, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to social development, women empowerment and humanitarian service.
The honour was bestowed during a courtesy visit by the Governor of Zamfara State, His Excellency Dauda Lawal to the palace of the Sarkin Kudu in Dansadau, Maru LGA.
The title YAR GOJEN DANSADAU, meaning “Queen of the Women of Dansadau,” reflects the First Lady’s sustained efforts in advancing the welfare of women, children and vulnerable groups across Zamfara State through inclusive, people centred initiatives.
Since assumption of office, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal has demonstrated purposeful leadership through impactful social intervention programmes and consistent engagement with grassroots communities, earning her widespread respect within and beyond the state.
In her remarks, the First Lady expressed appreciation to the Sarkin Kudu, the Dansadau Emirate Council and the people of Dansadau for the honour, describing it as a shared recognition of the collective efforts of all stakeholders committed to building a more inclusive and prosperous Zamfara State.
A statement signed by the Press secretary office of the first lady,Rabi Yusuf said the conferment of the title reflected Her Excellency’s commitment to service and reinforces her resolve to continue championing initiatives that improve the lives of the people of Zamfara State.
