In Kaduna State,the Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr.Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), yesterday carried out a series of impactful engagements centered on empowerment, healthcare collaboration, and party unity.
The day began with the distribution of clothing materials to over 500 women and youths at the Zaria Local Government Secretariat as part of the forthcoming Sallah support package.
A statement signed by Abubakar Abdullahi Lawal SA New Media office of the Chairman said the initiative is aimed at supporting vulnerable families and ensuring they celebrate the festive season with dignity and joy. The beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the Chairman’s continued commitment to grassroots empowerment.
It said in furtherance of his administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery, the Chairman received the leadership of the Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) in his office.
Discussions focused on expanding access to affordable and quality healthcare services for residents of Zaria Local Government through the contributory health scheme.
Similarly, representatives of Marie Stopes International paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman to explore areas of partnership and collaboration with the Local Government.
The proposed collaboration is expected to enhance reproductive health awareness and services across communities within the local government area
Later in the day, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad joined the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, CON, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, GCON, at Murtala Square to observe the APC State Congress Election.The event was attended by several high-ranking officials and stakeholders, including the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Dahiru Liman, and the Senator representing Kaduna South, Sunday Marshall Katung, among other key party leaders.
The Congress was conducted peacefully, reflecting the unity, discipline, and organizational strength of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State.
The Chairman reaffirmed his commitment to people-oriented governance, strategic partnerships, and progressive leadership in Zaria Local Government.
