The Zaria Local Government Advisory Committee on Education is pleased to announce the official commencement of the distribution of the 2026 JAMB forms under the Engr. Jaga Need-Based Scholarship Programme, designed to support 1,000 indigent students across Zaria Local Government.
This laudable initiative, championed by the Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr.Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), is aimed at expanding access to higher education and ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder brilliant and deserving students from pursuing their academic aspirations.
A statement signed by Abdullahi Abubakar,PRO Zaria local government advisory committee on education said in the spirit of fairness, transparency, and accountability, the distribution of the JAMB forms will be carried out through the following structured channels:1.
All Senior Secondary Schools across Zaria Local Government
2. Community Schools:
3. Orphans Schools
4. Selected Student Associations5. Federal Unity Colleges:
This structured method ensures equitable reach to qualified and indigent students across public, community, and special institutions within the Local Government.Eligibility Criteria / Requirements
1. O’Level Result:Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in their O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent).
Current SS3 students who are awaiting their results are also eligible, provided they have registered for the O’Level examination.
2. JAMB Profile Code:Candidates must have a valid JAMB Profile Code.
3. National Identification Number (NIN):
Candidates must provide their NIN slip as proof of registration.We sincerely appreciate the visionary leadership, commitment to education, and people-centered governance of Engr. Jaga.
