The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, attended several wedding ceremonies across Zaria metropolis.
A statement signed by Ishaq GALADIMA chief press secretary office of the Chairman said these included the wedding of Tijjani Saidu Mailafiya at Unguwar Magajiya, Zaria, and that of Abubakar Danda Mainama at Bakin Kogi, Tudun-Kusa, Wucicciri Ward.
In the same spirit of community engagement and respect for tradition, the Chairman also paid a courtesy visit to the fourth Chiroman Zazzau, Alhaji Saidu Mai Lafiya—an esteemed elder who has lived for over 105 years—at his residence in Unguwar Magajiya, where he prayed for his continued health and longevity.
Thereafter, the Chairman joined his Boss the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., GCON, Iyan Zazzau, on a series of condolence visits to sympathize with bereaved families within the local government area.
The delegation first condoled with the APC Chairman of Gyallesu Ward, Malam Shagari Sani, over the passing of his beloved mother, Hajiya Hafsat Iliyasu.
They subsequently proceeded to Pampon Gwaiba, where they condoled with the family of the late Malam Hadi of Tudun-Wada Ward. Further condolence visits were paid to Unguwar Bambale in Kwarbai B Ward, where the delegation sympathized with the family of the late Sarkin Sudan of Zazzau, Alhaji Abubakar Hayatu.
The condolence tour concluded at Unguwar Dankali, where the Chairman and the Speaker condoled with the family of Alhaji Babanyaya over the recent death of Hasan Haruna Babanyaya.
Together, the Chairman and the Speaker offered prayers for all the deceased, asking Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant them eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus and to bestow patience, strength, and comfort upon their families during this difficult time.
