The Executive Chairman Zaria local government council, Engr Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, has presided over the 13th Monthly Executive Council Meeting of the Council, where deliberations centered on critical issues related to the sustainable development of the local government area.
A statement signed by Galadima Ishaq, chief press secretary to the Chairman said the meeting featured a comprehensive review of the progress of ongoing projects, measures to strengthen inter-departmental coordination, and consideration of new initiatives designed to accelerate growth, improve service delivery, and enhance the welfare of residents.
It said the Chairman emphasized that effective governance requires continuous evaluation, strategic planning, and shared responsibility, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to these principles.
Following the meeting, the Chairman proceeded to Kaduna State to join the State’s Executive Governor, Senator Uba Sani, at the official flag-off ceremony for the distribution of 600 transformers and 10,000 solar streetlights across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state.
This landmark intervention is expected to significantly strengthen power infrastructure, expand rural electrification, improve community security, and stimulate economic activities across the benefiting areas, with Zaria Local Government positioned as a major beneficiary of the initiative.
The Chairman expressed profound appreciation to the Governor for his steadfast commitment to infrastructural advancement and grassroots transformation, noting that sustained collaboration between the state and local government will continue to yield tangible progress for the people.
