…. Commends Brigade Commander’s Efforts, Commissions Multiple Projects
The Commander Corps of Artillery (CCA) Major General John Olusegun Adeyemo was on a 3-Day working visit to 32 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army, Akure Ondo State from 18 – 21 January 2026, as part of his ongoing tour of Artillery formations and units.
Speaking during the visit, the CCA emphasized the need for officers and soldiers of the Vulcan family to remain professional and battle ready to support the Nigerian Army operations across the country to enhance unity and peace. He reiterated the significance of the COAS Command Philosophy
“To Advance the Transformation of the Nigerian Army into a More Professional, Adaptable, Combat Ready and Resilient Force Capable of Decisively Discharging its Constitutional Responsibilities within a Joint and Multi-Agency Environment” as the key strategic guidance for individual and collective responsibilities of the Gunners community.
The CCA then appreciated the efforts of officers and soldiers of 32 Artillery Brigade in the discharge of their constitutional duties.
He further admonished personnel of the Brigade not to be distracted by social nuisances but to be focused on professionalism, patriotism and transformation needs of the Nigerian Army, and the Armed Forces of Nigeria at large, for sustainability of a well motivated force to preserve national integrity and sovereignty of our country.
It is in this light that Major General Adeyemo commended the Commander 32 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Justin Ifeanyi, for the professional posture of the Brigade and efforts towards boosting working and living conditions in Owena Cantonment, Akure.
During the visit, the CCA presented on behalf of the Brigade Commander cheques of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000:00) each to 11 widows and foodstuffs to the beneficiaries of the quarterly Widow’s Empowerment Programme of 32 Artillery Brigade.
A motorcycle was equally presented to 96NA/ 41/1067 WO Tuki Abdullahi in recognition of his outstanding commitment to duties.
The renovated Officers’ Mess Hall, newly constructed Sports Pavilion and Children’s Park, as well as two massive Gun Stand and the Brigade Headquarters Photo Stand were commissioned during the visit.
A statement signed by Major Njoka Irabor Assistant director army public relations,32 Artillery Brigade said while in Ekenwan Barracks Benin, Major General Adeyemo commissioned the solar alternative power source to improve the working condition in the 322 Regiment Headquarters and inspected the ongoing construction of the unit Training Shed.
Other activities during the visit were brief by Brigade Commander 32 Artillery Brigade and Commanding Officers, conference with officers, address to soldiers and members of Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association and Nigerian Army Soldiers’ Wives Association, as well as tree planting and Cocktail party in honour of the CCA.
