The dawn of a new day shined as the Commander 18 Brigade, Brigadier General Ibrahim Babatunde Gambari arrived at 18 Brigade Tactical Headquarters (TAC), Tegina, Niger State to commission the newly constructed Brigade Operations Room and Officers’ Mess.
The projects are designed to enhance operational coordination and improve officers’ welfare at the Tactical Headquarters.
Upon arrival, the Commander was received by senior officers and conducted an inspection of the newly completed facilities.
He formally commissioned the Operations Room, a purpose-built facility structured to support operational planning, intelligence collation, mission tracking and real-time command decision-making.
The Officers’ Mess was also commissioned, providing a conducive environment for rest, interaction and regimental cohesion among officers.
The facilities are aimed at boosting morale and fostering unity which is an essential elements for sustained operational effectiveness.
Brigadier General Gambari proceeded to inspect other ongoing projects within the Tactical Headquarters, including the Commander’s office, accommodation facilities and other infrastructure developments.
He evaluated the quality and progress of works and emphasized strict adherence to standards to ensure durability, functionality and timely completion.
Addressing troops deployed at the Tactical Headquarters in Tegina, Niger State, the Brigade Commander commended their discipline, dedication and commitment to duty. He charged them to maintain professionalism, remain mission-focused and sustain a high level of operational readiness.
He further reassured the troops of Chief of Army Staff’s commitment to providing necessary infrastructure and support to enhance operational efficiency.
The commissioning ceremony concluded with an interaction between the Commander, officers and soldiers, reinforcing unity of purpose and the brigade’s resolve to consolidate operational capabilities within its Area of Responsibility.
