In Kaduna State, the Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, accompanied by a team of supervising engineers, conducted an extensive inspection of several ongoing legacy and strategic projects facilitated by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, GCON, across Zaria.

The inspection commenced at the Agwaro Underpass Project, after which the team proceeded to the Kofar Doka Flyover Bridge.

A statement signed by the chief press secretary to the chairman, Ishaq Galadima said both projects are critical infrastructure interventions aimed at easing traffic congestion, improving safety, and enhancing urban mobility within the city.

It said the Chairman also visited the construction site of the Technology Incubation Centre at Nagoyi, a forward-looking project designed to empower youths with technological skills, innovation capacity, and employment opportunities.

From Nagoyi, the inspection moved to Madarkaci, where projects for the construction of primary and secondary schools for persons with disabilities, as well as an orphanage, are ongoing—underscoring the administration’s commitment to inclusive education and social welfare for vulnerable groups.

Further inspections were carried out at the Emir of Zazzau’s Palace, where residential quarters are under construction, and at Government Secondary School (GSS) Magajiya, where work is ongoing on a modern examination hall.

The Chairman also inspected the Amaru Market Project and the construction of a modern slaughterhouse, a vital facility expected to enhance hygiene standards, boost public health, and support the livelihoods of traders and butchers.

Other key sites visited include the Zaria Education City Project (Phase I), where the team assessed progress on the Federal College of Education, Open University campus, and associated sporting facilities.

The inspection continued at Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, UPE, where construction is ongoing on the Veterinary College, College of Agriculture, Sports Academy, and the Centre for Management Development.Overall, the projects were observed to be at various stages of completion.

The Chairman expressed optimism that, In Sha Allah, a significant number of these projects will be completed and ready for commissioning before the end of the year.

Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga commended and appreciated the steadfast support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Governor Uba Sani, CON, for their commitment to development and for making these transformative projects a reality for the people of Zaria and Kaduna State at large.
