The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Muhammad Jamil Ahmad, carried out a series of engagements focused on strengthening community ties, compassion, and peace-building across the local government area.
After the Jummat Prayer at Danja Masjid, the Chairman attended the wedding ceremony of ASN Fahad Abubakar Suleiman and his wife, Rahmatu Yusuf, where he offered prayers for Allah’s blessings upon the couple and wished them a peaceful, prosperous, and fulfilling married life.
Subsequently, Engr. Jamil Ahmad visited victims of the recent farmer–herder clash who are currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Tudun-Kusa, Wucicciri Ward. The Executive Chairman also visited Unguwar Mahauta and Rugar Unguwar Mahauta, including Rugan Ibrahim, the scene of the unfortunate incident.
He condoled with affected families, assessed the situation firsthand, and engaged with community members as part of ongoing efforts to ensure lasting peace and prevent future occurrences.
Upon returning to the council secretariat, Engr. Jamil Ahmad received members of various Tijjaniyya groups for a constructive dialogue aimed at fostering unity, harmony, and peaceful coexistence among the different subgroups.
Engr. Muhammad Jamil Ahmad reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to standing with the people in times of joy and moments of challenge, while prioritising peace, unity, and sustainable development across Zaria Local Government Area.
