The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), participated in a one-day strategic workshop on Fiscal Responsibility and Public Financial Management, organized by the Kaduna State Fiscal Responsibility Commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government Affairs.
The workshop, held at Fifth Chukker Resort, KM 2 Kaduna–Jos Road, Maraban Jos, convened chairmen, council officials, and key stakeholders from all 23 Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
A statement signed by Abdullahi Abubakar lawal Special assistant on new media to the chairman said the workshop focused on strengthening financial governance, enhancing transparency, and promoting prudent utilization of public resources at the grassroots level.
Engr. Jaga’s participation underscores his administration’s firm commitment to accountability, efficiency, and responsible financial management, ensuring that every naira allocated to Zaria Local Government translates into meaningful development and improved service delivery for residents.
From the workshop, the Chairman returned to Zaria City to attend the janazah of the late Sheikh Usman Idris Kusfa (Rigi-Rigi), a highly respected Islamic scholar who passed away on Sunday night at the age of 57.
His presence was a mark of respect and solidarity with the family, the Islamic community, and the people of Zaria during this moment of loss.May Allah forgive Sheikh Usman Idris Kusfa, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and comfort his family and the entire Zaria community.
