The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council Engr Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga) was honoured with the Best Performing Executive Chairman of the Year 2025 Award by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ-FRCN) at an event held at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Complex, Kaduna.
The chief press secretary, office of the chairman Ishaq Galadima ably represented the Chairman at the prestigious ceremony and received the award on his behalf.
The Chairman was unavoidably absent as he was engaged in preparations for the reception of his Boss, the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the National Assembly, who is visiting the Local Government Area for a mega empowerment programme aimed at improving the socio-economic well-being of the people.
The recognition by the NUJ-FRCN is a clear testament to the Chairman’s commitment to purposeful leadership, transparency, grassroots development, and people-oriented governance across Zaria Local Government.
While receiving the award, I conveyed the Chairman’s deep appreciation to the NUJ for the honour and recognition.
He considers the award not only as a personal achievement but as a collective success of the administration, stakeholders, and the good people of Zaria Local Government whose support continues to inspire impactful governance.
