The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), joined the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen GCON, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Sen. Uba Sani CON, and the Honourable Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Abbas, at the official flag-off of the Renewed Hope Empowerment Programme an initiative designed to boost agriculture, strengthen SMEs, empower women, and support community development.
The event, attended by senior government officials, traditional rulers, and other dignitaries, featured the distribution of major empowerment items, including 25 SUVs to traditional leaders, 50 tractors for farmers, 92 combine threshers, 4,000 solar-powered water pumping machines, 1,500 fertilizer applicators, 1,500 knapsack sprayers, 450 petrol pumping machines, 1,700 deep freezers, 1,920 grinding machines, and 1,400 industrial sewing machines for tailors
Engr. Jaga expressed gratitude to Mr. Speaker for his continuous commitment to the people of Zaria and appreciated the support of Governor Uba Sani, while wishing all attendees safe journeys back to their destinations
