The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr.Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), had undertaken a series of strategic and community-focused engagements across Zaria, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to youth development, sports, education, healthcare, religious harmony, and grassroots development.
The Chairman began the day by attending a seminar on the Laws of the Game, organized by the Zaria Football Coaches Association in collaboration with the Zaria Local Football Council, held at the Assembly Hall of Alhudahuda College, Zaria.
A statement from the office of the chairman said the seminar aimed at improving officiating standards, discipline, and professionalism in grassroots football, a sector critical to youth engagement and talent development.
Thereafter, Engr. Jaga attended the inauguration of leaders and associations organized by the Coalition of Sufi Movements (Gamayyan Kungiyoyin Darikun Sufaye) at the Kongo Conference Hall, Zaria.
The event underscored the role of religious organizations in promoting peace, unity, and moral values within the society.In furtherance of his support for religious education, the Chairman graced a Qur’anic graduation ceremony of Madrasatul Irshadul-aulad lishheik Shiitu Kusfa held at Low Cost, Zaria City, where he commended teachers and parents for their dedication to nurturing morally upright children grounded in Islamic values.
Engr. Jaga also attended a development meeting organized by the Tudun Jukun Community Development Association in collaboration with the Tudun Jukun Youth Development Forum, held at Barewa College, Tudun Jukun, Zaria.
The meeting focused on community-driven solutions, youth participation, and sustainable development initiatives within the area.
Later in the day, the Chairman participated in a 38th Anniversary gathering of the Facility Development Committee of the Primary Healthcare Clinic, Magajiya, Zaria City, where he was presented with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his selfless service, consistent support, and commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery at the grassroots.
The day’s activities concluded with the Chairman attending condolence and prayer sessions for the late Sheikh Usman Kusfa of Zaria (Rigi-Rigi), where he joined family members, scholars, and well-wishers in prayers for the repose of the deceased’s soul.May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
Through these engagements, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga) once again demonstrated responsive leadership, people-centered governance, and unwavering dedication to the holistic development of Zaria Local Government
