The Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad , has served as Chief Host at the Team Adda Spelling Bee Competition, organized by Barr. Aysha Ahmad Muhammad in honour of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency, Sen. Uba Sani , CON.
The competition, which was held at the Dr. M. I. Maccido Hall, Federal University of Education, Zaria, featured participants from eight local governments in Zone One of Kaduna State and showcased the brilliance, confidence, and academic excellence of young learners.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman congratulated Abdulazeez Alhassan of Alu Dan Sidi LGEA, Zaria Local Government, who emerged First Place Winner in the Junior Category, and Zipporah Omere Victor of Vitol Years Secondary School, Sabon Gari Local Government, who secured First Place in the Senior Category.
As part of his commitment to educational development, the Chairman pledged electric motorcycles for the winners and full educational sponsorship for Abdulazeez Alhassan.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Hajiya Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, and the Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Dahiru Liman, among others.
Earlier in the day, the Chairman attended the 17th Anniversary of the Dakace Youth Multipurpose Cooperative Society (DAYCOS), where he donated ₦100,000 personally and ₦500,000 on behalf of the Speaker, House of Representatives.
He also attended the Fathul Rabbani Qur’anic Graduation Ceremony at Liman Habibi School, donating ₦200,000 personally and ₦500,000 on behalf of the Speaker.
In addition, the Chairman attended an event organized by the Jundullahi Aid Group of Nigeria, during which he donated ₦100,000 personally and ₦500,000 on behalf of the Speaker.
A statement signed by the chief press secretary office of the Chairman Ishaq Galadima added that furthermore, the Chairman convened an APC Emergency Stakeholders’ Meeting and received members of the Unguwar Mangu Farmers Cooperative Society, who presented him with an award in recognition of his leadership and support.
