In Kaduna State,the Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council Engr Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga) served as Chief Host at a major empowerment programme that positively impacted the lives of residents across the Local Government Area.
The programme featured the disbursement of ₦250,000 each to 800 graduates of the Shamsuna Ahmed Vocational Training Centre, Amaru, Zaria, aimed at supporting their transition towards self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods. Additionally, 1,600 beneficiaries received financial grants of ₦100,000 each to strengthen their businesses and cushion prevailing economic challenges.
This remarkable empowerment initiative was facilitated through the commitment and leadership of the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, GCON, whose dedication to people-oriented programmes continues to bring meaningful development to Zaria.
The event was attended by several distinguished personalities, including Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi, who represented the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani, CON. Other dignitaries present included Hon. Garba Datti Babawo, APC National Vice Chairman (North West); Alhaji Samaila Yakawada, Chairman of the North West Development Commission; Alhaji Bashir Abubakar, Chief Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission; Alhaji Sambo Shehu Idris, Sarkin Kudun Zazzau; Hon. Isa Haruna Baban Yaya, Member representing Zaria Kewaye Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly; and Dr. Danjuma A. Ismaila, Director-General of Aviation and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker on Legislative and Administration.

The Chairman expressed sincere appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the Renewed Hope empowerment initiatives which continue to create meaningful opportunities for citizens.
He also acknowledged the unwavering support and leadership of the Kaduna State Governor, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani, CON, in driving development across the state.
Furthermore, the Chairman expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunities and remarkable progress being witnessed in Zaria under the current leadership.In the course of the day, the Chairman also attended the Wedding Fatiha of Zakiru, younger brother of Shalele, held in Yakasai, Soba Local Government Area.
He joined family members, friends, and well-wishers in celebrating the occasion and offered prayers for a blessed and successful marital union.
