Gombe State has been ranked as Nigeria’s most peaceful and least dangerous state in the latest Nigeria Watch 2024 Report released by StatiSense, a leading data intelligence and analytics firm.
According to the latest report, Gombe recorded the lowest fatalities nationwide with an index of 0.33, outperforming all other states. Cross River followed with 0.37, while Akwa Ibom ranked third with 0.89 within the period under review.
This remarkable achievement has been attributed to the proactive, intelligence-driven and people-centered security architecture of the Gombe State Government under the leadership of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON. The Governor has consistently prioritized security through strategic investments in security infrastructure, intelligence-led policing, community engagement and close collaboration with security agencies.
Since assuming office, Governor Inuwa Yahaya has also strengthened conflict prevention mechanisms and grassroots participation, promoting peace, social cohesion and stability across the state.
