In Kaduna State, the Executive Zaria Local Government has officially flagged off the distribution of hospital equipment supplied by the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani, to Primary Health Care Centers (PHCs) across the 13 wards of the Local Government Area.
The flag-off ceremony, held at the Local Government Secretariat Hall, marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery at the grassroots.
The equipment is expected to enhance the capacity of PHCs, improve maternal and child healthcare services, and ensure better access to quality medical care for residents.
Speaking during the event, the Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), commended Governor Uba Sani for his giant strides in the health sector across Kaduna State.
He noted that the intervention reflects the Governor’s strong commitment to improving the wellbeing of citizens at the community level.
The Chairman also highlighted key healthcare achievements recorded under his administration, including the renovation of three Primary Health Care Centers located at Kwaba, Jakara, and Unguwar Bishar.
He reaffirmed the Local Government’s commitment to sustaining investments in healthcare infrastructure and service delivery.
Earlier in the day, Engr. Jaga presided over a peace meeting to address a land dispute in Mangu Dambo Ward involving community leaders, stakeholders, and a land claimant.
The meeting underscored the administration’s proactive approach to conflict resolution through dialogue, fairness, and mutual understanding in order to maintain peace and stability across the Local Government.
The Chairman also received the Senior Staff Association of the Kaduna State Water Corporation (KADSWAC), led by its President, Comrade Shehu Umar.
Discussions focused on sensitization and strengthening collaboration between the Local Government and the Corporation to improve service delivery.
In addition, Engr. Jaga welcomed PDP decampees from Layin Labadiya in Tudun Wada Ward who formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He assured them of inclusiveness and equal participation in the party’s activities, noting that their decision reflects growing confidence in the administration’s leadership and development agenda.
The day’s engagements concluded with a meeting with APC Rugaruga Zaria Local Government Area under the leadership of Abubakar Janare Nagoyi, where issues of unity, grassroots mobilization, and sustained political progress were discussed.
