Officials of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (KSPWA) on Saturday, 24th January, 2026. visited the Igabi and Kaduna North Local Governments Pilgrims’ Enlightenment Centres as the programme entered its fourth week since its official flag-off.
A statement signed by Ibrahim Datti Makarfi, public relations officer of the board said the visit was aimed at assessing the conduct, progress, and overall effectiveness of the ongoing pilgrims’ enlightenment exercise popularly know n as( Bita).
The monitoring team was led by the Director of Enlightenment, Alhaji Abubakar Alhassan, and comprised a Staff Officer, Hajiya Rakiya S. Ladan, as well as the Public Relations Officer of the Agency.
During the visit, the Director of Enlightenment expressed satisfaction with the level of participation, organisation, and seriousness demonstrated by the intending pilgrims at the centres.
He urged the pilgrims to remain attentive throughout the sessions, attend all scheduled lectures, and actively ask questions whenever clarification is required, particularly on the rites of Hajj, rules, and general conduct.
Alhaji Abubakar Alhassan emphasized that the enlightenment programme is structured to adequately prepare intending pilgrims spiritually, mentally, and practically for a successful and hitch-free Hajj exercise.
The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency reassured the public of its continued commitment to ensuring that all intending pilgrims are well-informed, properly guided, and fully prepared ahead of the pilgrimage.
