Executive Chairman of Zaria local government Eng Jamil Mohammed Jaga has attended the Kaduna State Local Government Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) Meeting for January 2026, held at the Senator Uba Sani Conference Hall, Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Kaduna State.
A statement from the office of the chairman said the Technical Session was chaired by Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, on behalf of the Chairman of JAAC and Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe.
In attendance were the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Mahmud Lawal, my fellow Local Government Chairmen across the 23 LGAs, our Finance and Budget Deputies, Directors of the Ministry, and representatives of key MDAs including SUBEB, RUWASSA, KADIRS, Office of the Accountant General, PHCB, Pension Bureau, and Local Government Service Board.
Deliberations at the JAAC are critical to ensuring transparent management of local government finances and the effective release of funds for priority sectors such as education, water supply, primary healthcare, workers’ welfare, and pension obligations.
I remain fully committed to protecting the interests of Zaria Local Government and ensuring that every resource meant for our people is judiciously utilized for sustainable development and improved service delivery.
