ALLEGED KILLING OF A LABOURER AT A DEMOLITION SITE IN OGUN STATE, HEADQUARTERS 35 ARTILLERY BRIGADE TO INVESTIGATES

Headquarters 35 Artillery Brigade has taken cognizance of allegations surrounding an incident at a demolition site at Ganic Company Orile-Imo, Sagamu-Abeokuta Expressway, Ogun State, on 23 February 2026, involving a soldier and a labourer, reportedly resulting in a fatality.

This was contained in a statement signed by Major IdereghiI Samuel Akari, Assistant Director Army Public Relations 35 Artillery Brigade Issued to newsmen.

It said the Brigade acknowledges the gravity of the situation and extends its sincerest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of the deceased.

Consequently, a Board of Inquiry has been promptly constituted to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident.

The Brigade is committed to transparency and accountability, hence, the findings of the investigation will be made public as soon as possible.

We therefore appeal to the general public and the media to please remain calm as we promise to provide further updates as the investigation progresses.
