The Senate has confirmed the nomination of General Christopher Musa as the Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The confirmation followed the reading of the nomination letter set in by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio requesting the screening and confirmation of General Musa as minister in accordance with the nation’s constitution.
General Christopher Musa who appeared before the Senate for the screening exercise and confirmation in company of several high ranking military retirees answered series of questions from the senators and gave an assurance that the war against terrorism plaguing the country can be won with the corporation of all Nigerians.
The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio who recalled General Musa’s track record as the Chief of Army Staff and head of several theatre commands, commended President Tinubu for the choice of Christopher Musa, describing him as an experienced and a result orientation military boss
.After presiding the screening exercise lasting for almost 3 hours, the President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio confirmed the nomination.
While assuring General Christopher Musa of the full support of the National Assembly to enable him succeed, Senator Akpabio urged him to swing into action immediately he is given the oath of office by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
