The Chairman Funtua Unity foundation Comrade Mannir Mohd Sulaiman has expressed concern over the recent resignation of the recently appointed Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Health and Medical Science Funtua.
The chairman said it is indeed worrisome and a bad beginning for the newly established university to have a top ranking official to resign prior to assuming office.
Comrade Mannir Mohd Sulaiman explained that although the outgoing vice chancellor has given his reason as political,it’s not enough to warrant resignation as such.
Comrade Mannir Mohd Sulaiman warned all unions and non governmental organisations in Funtua to desist from meddling in the affairs of university with a view to allowing the university community to run its affairs academically with relative ease.
The Chairman pointed out that through unauthorized or spreading privileged information that the activities of the university will breach and scuttle.
Comrade Mannir Mohd Sulaiman further stated that the importance of the university presence cannot be over emphasized economically and education wise.He said there is the need to use maturity and decorum in handling such sensitive issues.
Comrade Mannir Mohd Sulaiman thanked all stakeholders who played a role in making the university a reality, and called for the sustenance and support for the success and future of the next generation.
Meanwhile the Chairman also commended the state governor Dr Dikko Umar Radda PhD CON for injecting over two billion naira for the development of the university .
