The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), attended the Team Adda Spelling Bee Competition (Zone 1 Semi-Finals) held at the Zaria Local Government Secretariat.

The event was organized in honor of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Sen. Uba Sani, CON, and featured an impressive gathering of young talents from both public and private secondary schools across Zone 1.

The competition covered Junior and Senior Secondary categories, with brilliant students showcasing exceptional spelling, confidence, and academic excellence.

Senior Secondary Category Results • 1st Place: Baree’at Abdulrahman Jafar – Crown School • 2nd Place: Aisha Ibrahim Yahaya – Zaria International

School Junior Secondary Category Results • 1st Place: Abdul’aziz Alhassan – Alu Dan Sidi LGEA • 2nd Place: Ukasha Haruna – Dr. Muhammad Jumare Jushi • 3rd Place: Fatima Yahuza – Dr. Shehu Idris Babban Dodo Zaria.

In his remarks, Engr. Jaga commended the outstanding performance of the students and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to supporting programs that promote education, youth development, and academic excellence.

He also appreciated the visionary initiative of Barr. Aysha Ahmad Mohammad, whose efforts continue to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders.

A statement signed by Abdullahi Abubakar lawal special assistant on new media to the chairman said Engr. Jaga wished all the qualified students the very best as they proceed to the finals, expressing confidence that they will make Zaria proud and bring the victory home.

This event not only strengthened the spirit of academic competitiveness in Zaria but also encouraged young learners to pursue excellence with confidence.

It showcased the Local Government’s dedication to nurturing talent and building a brighter future for the children of Zaria.
