In his message titled “A Generation Summoned by a Crisis,” The president delivered a truth that resonates deeply with all of us: nothing troubles him more than the insecurity bedevilling Nigeria – especially Northern Nigeria.
Represented by the Rt Hon Speaker house of representatives Dr Tajudeen Abass,he reminded the gathering that unless trust is rebuilt, security challenges will persist, our economy will stagnate, and our educational gaps will widen.
The President acknowledged the daunting layers of the crisis the administration inherited. Yet, he reaffirmed the urgency and relentlessness with which his administration is pursuing decisive solutions. His words were clear: we cannot prosper as a nation when one limb is paralysed.
He charged the North to reclaim its tradition of honest, courageous voices – voices that refuse to sleep when millions sleep hungry, voices that refuse to accept fear as a normal companion on our roads.
Mr. President also restated his unshaken optimism in the promise of Northern Nigeria. From eliminating terrorist and bandit networks to reversing economic decline, to accelerating transformational infrastructure like the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano Superhighway, his commitment is firm. He looks forward to the day the first tankers of crude roll out from Kolmani and other Northern fields – a symbol of renewal and shared prosperity.As he rightly noted, every generation has its calling.
Ours has arrived at a moment when the North faces one of its gravest tests – corroded security, eroding values, and weakened communal bonds. Yet, standing before the ACF today, I saw the same diversity, courage, and moral fortitude that have kept this region a pillar of national stability for 25 years.
The President noted that the Silver Jubilee of the ACF is not just a celebration of time – it is a celebration of courage, advocacy, and principled service. I am proud to stand with the patriots committed to shaping a safer, fairer, more united North for generations to come.
