The Directorate of Professional Diploma in Education, Federal University of Education (FUE), Zaria, has expressed interest in partnering with the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria, on teacher training and the enhancement of professional standards.
This was the focus of a courtesy visit by a delegation from FUE to the Institute today.Welcoming the team, the Director-General/Chief Executive of NITT, Dr. Bayero Salih Farah, reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to strategic partnerships that strengthen capacity development in the education and transport sectors.
He encouraged the university to submit a formal proposal as a first step towards developing a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Dr. Farah, the Registrar, Dr Maina W.A Tarfa and other Directors present also urged FUE to explore NITT’s wide range of specialised programmes and services, including CNG conversion training, education logistics, driver development, and other professional courses designed to support national growth.
Earlier, the Director of the Directorate of Professional Diploma in Education, FUE, Zaria, Dr. A. S. Bello said the visit was aimed at seeking collaboration in critical areas such as the Professional Diploma in Education programme, teacher education, and professionalism.
He added that the university was particularly impressed with NITT’s offerings and would table the proposal before its management for consideration.
