The Chairman of the Kaduna State Local Government Service Board, Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, has reaffirmed the commitment of Governor Malam Uba Sani’s administration to driving reforms and sustainable development across all local government areas of the state.
Professor Sharehu stated this in Zaria while supervising the conduct of the promotion examination for local government workers.
He explained that the administration of Senator Uba Sani has continued to prioritise the welfare and professional growth of local government employees through the provision of annual promotions, capacity-building programmes, and other supportive initiatives.
Professor Sharehu noted that the introduction of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system for the promotion examination—an innovation of the current administration—has strengthened the credibility of the process by improving examination conduct, enhancing transparency, ensuring early release of results, and boosting computer literacy among workers.
He revealed that, for the 2026 promotion exercise, more than 700 local government staff from across Kaduna State sat for the CBT examination.
The chairman urged workers to reciprocate the government’s efforts by remaining dedicated to their duties, adhering to service regulations, and offering their full support to ongoing reforms.
In his welcome address, the Permanent Commissioner, Local Government Service Board, Alhaji Muhammad Abdullah, charged workers to be punctual, disciplined, and law-abiding as part of their contributions to effective service delivery.
Also speaking in an interview, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Giwa Local Government Council, Kabir Umar, expressed satisfaction with the dedication and commitment shown by Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, noting that his leadership has continued to bring positive changes across the local government system.
