In Kaduna State the Zazzau Creative Artists, under the leadership of Hon. Umar Mai Jalingo, Special Assistant on Art, Culture and Creative Economy, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), to celebrate his one year in office.
The visit was also an opportunity for the group to express their gratitude to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D, GCON, Iyan Zazzau, for appointing one of their own, Malam Umar Mai Jalingo, as Special Assistant on Art, Culture and Creative Economy.
During the visit, discussions centered on the development of the creative industry within Zaria and the broader Zazzau Emirate.
A statement signed by the chief press secretary to the chairman,Ishaq Galadima said the artists pledged their continuous support to both the Speaker and the Chairman in their shared commitment to advancing culture, creativity, and community development.
