Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, paid an inspection visit to the Industrial Hub situated along the Maiduguri-Kano road.

The Hub operating under a public-private partnership, is a key component of Governor Zulum’s vision to revive ailing industries and revitalise the state’s economy, following over fifteen years of Boko Haram insurgency.

To ensure the Hub operates at full capacity, the state government is constructing a road network valued at N11 billion, alongside a N5 billion solar power plant.

The Industrial Hub comprises five production sections: plastic chairs, buckets and cups; pipes; sacks; and solar panels.Current daily production includes 100,000 sacks, 10,000 conduit pipes, and 18,500 assorted water pipes (comprising 5,000 of 32mm, 7,500 of 20mm, and 6,000 of 25mm).

These developments underscore Borno State’s concerted efforts towards future prosperity under the distinguished leadership of Professor Babagana Umara Zulum.
