
In Kebbi state,the Chairman of Kalgo Local Government Council , Alhaji Yahaya Bala Kukah, has expressed appreciation for the visit of a delegation from Radio Nigeria Equity FM, describing it as historic and commendable.
Speaking while receiving the team in his office, the chairman noted that it was the first time the local government had received such a delegation from the station.
He pledged to partner with the station to enhance information dissemination and community development.
Alhaji Yahaya Kukah also assured that he would visit the station soon to assess its challenges with a view to finding lasting solutions.
He praised the station’s commitment to educating and enlightening the public, urging the management and staff to sustain their professionalism and dedication.
The chairman commended the station for maintaining professional standards in its dealings with clients, describing its conduct as “very commendable.”
He reiterated his happiness for the visit and promised continued collaboration.
Earlier, the General Manager of the station, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed, thanked the chairman for the warm reception and apologised for previous misunderstandings between the two institutions.
He also solicited the council’s assistance in addressing some of the station’s pressing needs, including security, a borehole, and furniture.
Alhaji Adamu explained that the station is situated in the local government and most of the it’s workers reside in Kalgo, which further strengthens the need for cooperation with the local government.
The visit ended on a positive note, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to strengthening ties for the benefit of the Kalgo community.
