The Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday evening paid an unscheduled visit to the Ministry of Justice, Kano State.
This is contained in a statement signed by public relations officer of the ministry, Najib Lawal Dambazau issued to newsmen.
During the surprise visit, the Governor inspected various offices and facilities within the ministry complex, including the office of the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, and expressed deep concern over the dilapidated condition of the ministry’s facilities.
Governor Abba Yusuf immediately directed the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Marwan Ahmad, and the Commissioner for Housing Development, Ibrahim Yakubu, to jointly take charge and commence the comprehensive renovation of the entire ministry complex without delay.
The surprise visit was warmly received by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Abdulkarim Kabir Maude, SAN, the Head of Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, and other senior officials of the ministry.
In his remarks, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Abdulkarim Kabir Maude, SAN, expressed appreciation to the Governor for his visit and prompt directive. He commended the Governor’s dedication to revitalizing the justice sector and ensuring a more conducive and dignified working environment for officers and staff of the ministry.
Barr. Maude reaffirmed the ministry’s unwavering commitment to justice, the rule of law, and the administration’s reforms to strengthen governance and service delivery in Kano State.
Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his commitment to upgrading public offices across the state, noting that effective justice delivery begins with well-equipped institutions and motivated personnel.
