In a time when many leaders lead from a distance, the Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, continues to stand out for his personal and compassionate approach to leadership.

Known for his consistent presence at community events, Jaga regularly visits families during moments of joy and sorrow — attending weddings, school graduation ceremonies, condolence visits, and Janazah prayers. He is also known to visit the sick, offering not only words of comfort but also financial support to those in need.

These gestures, carried out quietly across the nooks and crannies of Zaria, reflect a rare quality of empathy and genuine connection with the people he serves. His constant engagement with residents, regardless of social status, has earned him widespread admiration and strengthened the bond between leadership and the community.

For many in Zaria, Engr. Jaga’s leadership is not defined merely by policies or projects, but by his human touch — a hallmark of a true servant-leader.
