The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad, has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary, urging citizens to recommit to unity, peaceful coexistence, and collective responsibility in nation-building.

In his message, the Chairman acknowledged the sacrifices of Nigeria’s founding fathers and the resilience of citizens through decades of challenges and achievements, noting that their vision of unity, peace, and progress continues to guide the nation.

“Here in Zaria Local Government, we are translating that vision into tangible development through investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, peacebuilding, and human capital development. These interventions are designed to expand opportunities, improve livelihoods, and secure a brighter future for our people,” he said.

Engr. Jamil Ahmad further emphasized that development can only be achieved through collective effort, urging citizens to support government reforms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to strengthen peace, restore prosperity, and deepen democracy.
“Development is a shared responsibility. With unity, faith, and determination, Nigeria will continue to rise stronger,” he affirmed.
A statement signed by the Chief press secretary office of the chairman,Ishaq Galadima said the Chairman also prayed for renewed faith in Nigeria’s future and extended warm Independence Day wishes to the people of Zaria, Kaduna State, and the entire country.
