SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBER AND CULTIST ARRESTED IN NUNG OKU

The Akwa Ibom State police command doing  a surveillance team on an intensive stop-and-search operation at the Nung Oku roundabout, located by Ring Road 3, Uyo, successfully apprehended a suspect.

The individual, identified as Kufre Aniefiok Akpan, a male from Nkin Village in Itu Local Government Area, was subjected to a search. The search led to the recovery of a cut-to-size double-barrel shotgun, two live cartridges, and various items suspected to be charms.

A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Timfon John said that during interrogation, Akpan confessed to being an active member of the “Sky Low” secret cult.

Investigation into the matter is ongoing, and further developments will be communicated to the public as they become available.
