The Managing Director, National Hydro-Electric Power Producing Areas Development Commission, N-HYPPADEC, Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa, has reaffirmed the commission’s determination, commitment and focus to discharging its mandate of uplifting the wellbeing of communities in consonance with its operational guidelines.
The Managing Director gave the assurance at a management consultative meeting to reappraise its performance and chart a new course of action with renewed vigour in Birnin Kebbi.
Sadiq Yalwa stated that, “This is my maiden official meeting with the National Heads, State Coordinators and Area Officers, since my reapportionment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu”,
According to him, he was here to review progress and challenges, chart a renewed path of service with vigour and determination, to lay strong foundation for service delivery in benefitting Communities.
He added that, activities of HYPPADEC in the first term have been remarkable and satisfactory, saying the commission executed projects that impacted people’s lives,
Yalwa said, communities neglected have now found a voice, HYPPADEC has shown that the government cares about the entire citizenry and their focus is to proceed with the journey and to also strengthen the commission with efficiency for service delivery.
He called on staff of the commission to sustain honesty, collaboration, dedication and imbibe the importance of unit and warned that, the communication will not condone saboteurs, do not undermine one another, avoid rumour mongering, strive to embrace good working collaboration.
The Director of Finance and Administration, Dr. Jimoh Haruna Gabi, thanked the staff and management for their support during his acting capacity as the Managing Director, while other staff at the consultative meeting, reaffirmed their loyalty to the new reappointed Managing Director.
