KBSG sent an Advanced Team to Zuru Ahead of the late Emir’s Funeral.

The Kebbi State Government, has sent a high-powered delegation to Zuru to partake in the preparations for the funeral of the late Emir of Zuru, Rtd. Major Gen. Muhammad Sani Sameh, who passed away on Saturday in a London hospital.

The advanced team, sent on the directives of Governor Nasir Idris, is led by the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Honourable  Muhammad Usman Zuru, with Alhaji Abubakar Garba Dutsinmari, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi; Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yunusa Ismail, Commissioner for Health, Engr. Abdullahi Umar Faruk Muslim; Commissioner for Works and Alhaji Shehu Muazu, Commissioner for Agriculture.

The delegation will remain in Zuru throughout the period of the arrival of the late Emir’s body and burial and also join the Emir’s family in receiving mourners now trooping  to visit Zuru to pay their condolences.

Speaking on behalf of the government, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi, said Governor Nasir Idris, who is presently on official engagement abroad, was deeply saddened by the demise of one of Kebbi State’s and Nigeria’s most respected traditional rulers.

The Governor, has directed that all possible assistance and support be made available to ensure that the late Emir receives a befitting burial.

The body of the late Emir who died last Saturday at London hospital, is expected to arrive Kebbi state Nigeria within or before this week runs out for burial in his home town of Zuru.
