The Akwa Ibom State police command has successfully recovered another vehicle linked to a stolen car syndicate and arrested an additional suspect.
Further to a previous report dated August 6, 2025, detailing the arrest of a syndicate, Operatives of the Command have continued their efforts to recover more stolen vehicles.
On August 13, 2025, at 1600 hours, police action led to the arrest of Otoabasi George Ime, a male suspect found in possession of a Toyota Camry with registration number BGM 934 DA. This vehicle has been confirmed as one of the stolen cars connected to the previously apprehended syndicate.
A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Timfot John said the Command is intensifying its efforts to recover the remaining stolen vehicles.
