Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has pledged increased delivery of democratic dividends to the Karaye Emirate.

The Governor made the pledge while receiving the Emir of Karaye, Dr. Muhammad Muhammad Maharaza, during a Sallah homage visit at the Government House, Kano.
Represented by the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Isma’il Falgore, Governor Yusuf assured that all ongoing projects in the emirate would be completed by his administration.
He appealed to the people of Kano State to continue upholding the values of tolerance, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence.
The Governor emphasised that unity in diversity remains critical to the state’s rapid and sustainable development
He commended residents for their peaceful and law-abiding conduct.
According to him, such virtues are essential for preserving Kano’s cultural heritage and sustaining development.
Earlier, the Emir of Karaye, Dr. Muhammad Maharaza, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing projects in the emirate.
He cited the construction and renovation of secondary schools, as well as road projects linking several local government areas.
The Emir also commended the Governor for increasing monthly subvention, renovating the palace, providing subsidised fertiliser to farmers, and completing five kilometres of roads in Karaye and Rogo towns.
He appealed for the continuation of key projects, including the Janguza–Kano–Karaye and Rogo–Falgore roads.
The Emir further requested the establishment of divisional police offices in Falgore and Zarewa.
He also called for the siting of a higher institution in Karaye town.
