The governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal has urged Muslim faithful to intensify prayers for peace in Zamfara State and across Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Spokesman to the Governor Sulaiman Bala Idris in his Sallah message.
The Governor congratulated the Muslims faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting He noted that Eid-el-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, a period devoted to fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection.
“I congratulate the Muslim faithful in Zamfara State and Nigeria as we conclude the Ramadan fast, marking this year’s Eid-el-Fitr, the festival of breaking the fast.
“Eid-el-Fitr is a joyous occasion that symbolizes gratitude, unity, and renewal. It is also a time to intensify prayers for peace in our dear state and across the nation.
“The Ramadan fast is designed to instill patience, self-discipline, empathy, spiritual consciousness, and a deeper connection with Allah.
According to him, to build a better Zamfara and Nigeria, they must remain united, stressing that they all have a collective responsibility to be brothers’ keepers and contribute to the progress of the society
Governor Lawal also prayed for a peaceful Eid celebration and expressed hope for sustained blessings of good health, peace, and economic prosperity in the years ahead.
