Gov Radda Condem bandits Attack in Dandume and Jikamshi*

Commiserate with people over the attack*

Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON of Katsina State has expressed deep sorrow over the recent bandits attack that affected Jikamshi and Dandume communities of the state.

A statement signed by the state commissioner ministry of information and culture,Dr Bala Salisu Zango said Governor Radda condemned the attack, which he described as senseless, particularly during this Holy month of Ramadan.

The Governor said “his heart is with the people of Dandume and jikamshi over the barbaric bandits attacks that left about 19 people dead

“The Governor stated this through the State Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal, HCIB, who led a state delegation for a condolence visit to the families of the deceased killed during and attack, as well as to commiserate with the people of Jikamshi, in Musawa Local Government over the attack.

The Governor emphasized enhanced security measures to continue protecting all communities in the state.Radda further vowed to work towards ensuring justice for the victims.

It should be recalled that on Tuesday 10th of March, 2026, bandits in their hundreds on motorcycles stormed the two Communities of Dandume and Jikamshi, firing sporadically that left about 15 people dead at Dandume and 4 people at jikamshi towns.

The bandits ransacked houses and shops, destroying foodstuffs and several essential commodities worth Millions of Naira.

Governor Radda then called on people in the state to take advantage of this Holy month and pray fervently for peace to reign in the state and nation at large.

He further emphasised the commitment of his administration to explore all lawful and possible measures to protect the lives and properties of people of Katsina State.
