In a bid to assess and enhance the efficiency and operational readiness of troops, the Commander 301 Artillery Regiment (General Support), Colonel Suobor Beke, received the Commander Corps of Artillery (CCA), Major General John Adeyemo, on a maiden and operational visit to 301 Artillery Regiment (AR) Gombe on 4 March 2026.
A statement signed by Lieutenant Kingsley Ugwuoke Acting Assistant Director,Army public relations 301 Artillery Regiment,( General support) said the visit was aimed at evaluating the unit’s operational performance and strengthening troop readiness in line with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu’s command philosophy.
It also provided an opportunity for the CCA to assess available resources within the Artillery units and interface directly with officers and soldiers to further enhance their efficiency and effectiveness.
Upon arrival, the CCA was received at the Quarter Guard and subsequently briefed by the Commander 301 AR (GS) on the Regiment’s operational engagements, achievements, and prevailing challenges.
The visit featured a series of significant activities, including a briefing at Headquarters 301 Artillery Regiment (General Support) New Barracks, presentation of a souvenir, tree planting ceremony, and a guided tour of key facilities within the barracks.
The CCA inspected officers’ and soldiers’ accommodation areas and other critical infrastructure in the new barracks.
While addressing officers, soldiers, and barracks women, the CCA conveyed his New Year greetings and commended the troops for their dedication and contributions to ongoing internal security operations aimed at safeguarding lives and property across the country.
Major General Adeyemo further charged the personnel to remain resilient and sustain the operational momentum.
The visit concluded with a group photograph, marking the successful completion of the CCA’s maiden and operational visit to 301 AR (GS)
