Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, launched the distribution of empowerment packages and grains worth over N100 million to more than 4,000 beneficiaries. The initiative was provided by Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Guguwa through his foundation.
The event, held at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, included the presentation of seven luxury vehicles to APC leaders and loyal supporters.
Governor Radda thanked Alhaji Guguwa for his generosity, particularly during Ramadan, and prayed for more philanthropists to support the less privileged.”I am grateful to Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Guguwa for his generosity and commitment to supporting the needy.
His decision to provide vehicles to party leaders and loyal supporters of the 2023 elections demonstrates thoughtfulness and dedication to community service,” the governor said.
He emphasized that his administration will always encourage and support philanthropists and individuals willing to assist the less privileged, praying that Almighty Allah continues to bless Katsina State with such committed citizens.
“I urge the beneficiaries to make the best use of the items and capital provided. Expand your businesses, uplift your families, and support others from the profits you earn,” Governor Radda added.
Earlier, Alhaji Guguwa explained that the foundation was inspired by Governor Radda’s Gwagware Foundation and aims to improve socio-economic conditions in Katsina.
“We call on residents to support the governor with prayers and work together for continued progress in the state,” he said.
In separate goodwill messages, the Chairman of Katsina Local Government, Hon. Isah Miqdad, and the Member of the State House of Assembly representing Katsina, Ali Abu Albaba, commended Alhaji Guguwa for his generosity.
“We also pledge full support for Governor Radda in the 2027 elections, recognizing his commitment to the state’s development,” they added.
Professor Muhammad Salga, Chairman of the foundation, highlighted humanitarian efforts, including borehole drilling, classroom construction, and medical bill support for less privileged residents.
The items distributed included grains, empowerment packages, and seven luxury vehicles for APC leadership and loyal supporters of the governor.
The event was attended by the Chief of staff to the governor Hon Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; Chairman Gwagware foundation Hon Yusuf Ali Musawa; among other top government officials.
