Restrictions From 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM Extended till After Ramadan

The Gombe State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that, following extensive security consultations, the Command has approved the relaxation of motorcycle movement restrictions from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, effective throughout the holy month of Ramadan and extending until after Ramadan.

A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP BuhariAbdullahi Police Public Relations Officeron behalf of Commissioner of PoliceGombe State Command said this decision reflects the Command’s commitment to accommodating the increased religious, social, and communal activities taking place during Ramadan, as well as the period following the month when festive and community engagements remain high.

It said the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Ahmed Chuso, mnips, fwc, mspsp, psc(+), reassured residents of the Command’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace, protecting lives and property, and ensuring that the relaxed movement window does not compromise public safety.

He emphasized that the Command has put adequate security measures in place to guarantee the safety of worshippers, commuters, and all residents during and after Ramadan.

The Gombe State Police Command strongly advises all motorcyclists to:(a) Obey all traffic regulations.(b) Avoid reckless or dangerous riding.(c) Ensure proper registration and carry valid identification at all times.(d) Remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.

The Gombe State Police Command appreciates the cooperation of religious leaders, community elders, and residents during the consultation process.

The Command remains dedicated to safeguarding the state while respecting cultural and religious values.
